Location: New Administrative Capital, Egypt (Transportation Provided to the site)

Employment Type: Full-Time- 6 working days

The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing project documents, ensuring compliance with specifications, coordinating with design teams, and managing the technical office’s workflow. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Review project documents, study scope of supply, and analyze project specifications.

Coordinate with the design department and engineering sub-suppliers to receive and review drawings.

Study and verify drawings before preparing the Bill of Materials (BOM) for procurement and release to relevant project teams.

Issue and distribute drawings through Document Control to all concerned parties.

Validate BOM accuracy based on drawings and calculations.

Review and ensure Technical Delivery Conditions (TDCs) align with project specifications and relevant codes.

Oversee and assign work to technical office engineers, CADD operators, and material take-off (MTO) estimators.

Evaluate material supplier quotations/offers from a technical perspective.

Review engineering documents from sub-suppliers before submitting them for approval.

Check detailed shop drawings, plate cutting layouts, and nesting programs per construction requirements.

Incorporate project and client feedback for design modifications and issue variation/claim lists for estimation and cost control teams.

Assist in material take-off and procurement process review.

Collaborate with construction personnel on project execution planning.

Revise and approve monthly invoices for subcontractors and clients.

Delegate and monitor engineers’ activities based on specialization, priorities, technical challenges, and contractual milestones.

Review material and subcontractor inspection reports from consultants.

Compare subcontractor pricing with BOQ and approve Purchase Orders (P.O.) accordingly.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Architecture Department

8+ years of experience in a technical office role within construction projects.

Strong knowledge of shop drawings, BOQ, BOM, and material take-off (MTO) processes.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera, SAP, and other relevant engineering software.

Experience with project specifications, international codes, and standards.

Strong leadership and project coordination skills.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
